I had an outstanding experience with Frank from RooterPal and can’t recommend him highly enough. I initially reached out about an issue with inconsistent hot water in our shower. I had already replaced the cartridge, but that didn’t solve the problem. Based on further investigation, it seemed like the valve itself might be faulty. Another plumber who came by quoted around $2,000 for a complex repair that would involve breaking through tile or accessing the valve from behind the shower—so I was preparing for a major job. Frank was scheduled to come out the following Wednesday, but what really stood out was that he proactively called me on Saturday—his day off—to understand the issue in detail. After I walked him through everything I had tried and the prior diagnosis, he drew on his deep experience and suggested that, given the specific valve model and its durability, a full valve replacement was unlikely to be the real issue. Instead, he suspected a blockage at the inlet and clearly explained what that would look like and how I could test for it myself. I followed his guidance step by step, and amazingly, it worked. The shower is now functioning perfectly—actually better than before. Throughout the process, Frank was incredibly responsive, quickly answering follow-up questions as I worked through the fix and helping me troubleshoot in real time. He even offered to come by on his day off if his suggestion didn’t resolve the issue. What impressed me most was not just his expertise—though that was obvious—but his integrity and genuine care for doing the right thing. He saved me thousands of dollars and a major unnecessary repair, and he did it without making a single dollar from the interaction. That level of honesty and customer focus is rare.
